There's so much division in our communities, and it feels like we're getting further and further apart. My Grandma is one of the people I have the strongest bonds with, yet, we don't agree on most anything. I wanted to share some stories through humor and humility to bring perspective to togetherness, through division of beliefs.
My favorite teacher who was adored by many was investigated for misconduct and sexual abuse of at least one student, and a good portion of prior-students defended him. This is a story of my perspective as an outsider to the abuse, but an insider to the community that victim blamed the survivor.
I’ve traveled to over 50 countries, I’ve led recruitment and human resources for San Francisco Bay Area companies/locations, and I’ve consulted on-site for Google, Microsoft and Activision. I’ve lived and worked in both the US and Canada, where I’ve also run successful independent consultancies.
